Event details

This St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra concert opens with Sibelius’s patriotic hymn to his homeland and concludes with Prokofiev’s ballet score of Romeo & Juliet.

The orchestra is joined by former BBC Young Musician of the Year, Jennifer Pike, for Tchaikovsky’s virtuosic violin concerto, and we’re delighted that Ben Palmer will be conducting; a former student at King Edward School in Bury St Edmunds, Ben now regularly appears on the podium in front of top orchestras around the world.

We are thrilled to be welcoming this great orchestra back to the festival after a very long gap.
