Since Jocelyn the Cellarer first wrote his journal about the life of the Abbey here, Bury St Edmunds has featured in great works of literature in many styles throughout many centuries.

Join our guided walk, full of words from 14th Century poetry to Victorian comedy, from radical tracts to Gothic rock lyrics.

Characters from the stories will brought to life along the route by performers from the Theatre Royal's community groups as part of the ‘Beyond Walls’ project.

Ticket includes coffee and a pastry.

This walk lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Starts: 10.30am
Tickets: £10, Under 25's £5. Festival Friends £2 off.
