The 2016 Bury St Edmunds Festival brochure will be launched at the Apex next week with a packed programme of music and arts events from Friday 20 May to Sunday 29 May.
Tickets go on sale from 29 February (22 February for Festival Friends) for this year’s Festival, which brings opportunities to see internationally renowned artists alongside home-grown talent.
Highlights include violinist Nigel Kennedy, Irish country star Nathan Carter, choral pilgrims The Sixteen and the winners of BBC2’s Naked Choir competition Sons of Pitches.
Local talent will also be in the spotlight with opportunities for folk, jazz and classical musicians, art students and schoolchildren to play their part in the 10-day festival.
Festival Manager Nick Wells said: “I am really looking forward to announcing this year’s Festival programme. As always there are a few surprises and opportunities to try something new alongside some festival favourites.”
